The front wishbones aren't the same on the AWD and diesel versions of the 70 and 850 series cars.

I think police-spec is different too.

The FWD petrol car's wishbones are bolted into brackets on the front subframe by means of just two bolts which also act as the pivots.

The diesel and AWD wishbones include 'hinges' at either attachment point, each of which is bolted to the subframe by means of two bolts.

On the 'standard' car, re-bushing simply involves removing the two securing bolts. The 'heavy-duty' suspension fitted to the heavier diesel-powered cars, the AWDs and the Plod-wagons doesn't lend itself to easy re-bushing in the same way. Also, the relatively small number of cars made possibly make it uneconomical for after-market manufacturers to produce specific bushes.

That's as I understand things. However, the guy who'll really know in detail is Dai Brace - 'Classicswede' on here: http://www.classicswede.com/home.html

Cheers

Jack

just to reopen a thread.
the front wishbone bushes cant be done by powerflex due to the mounting bar through the bush it is larger that the normal fwd bushes,i have had a good talk to powerflex on this issue, once i get my old bushes off i will see if there is a way to get them done.
