Default Hazard Warning Switch

Can anyone advise on the fitment of a hazard warning switch to my Amazon. I have a Lucas switch/relay unit that I have asked a vehicle electrician to fit for me. He says that it is not a simple task as it requires the removal of the steering wheel for access to the harness. If anyone has done this job please let me know if there is an easier method.

Thanks

Hi Mike,

I haven't done this conversion myself, but recommend you check out www.intelab.com/swem/ and then scroll down to the link -Swemkits.
These guys make all kinds of upgrades for amazons and 1800's and they may be able to help you with a DIY kit.

All the best,

Gordon

I fitted hazard warning to my 122 years ago. I did not use a relay. I did it with a basic flasher unit and a bridge rectifier (an electronic component). Works fine. You do not have to disassemble the steering wheel as all the wires are accessible behind the dash. If you want more info on the "Arnold method" let me know.
