I have no way of knowing if 'Jack.Spaniel' had his tongue firmly in his cheek when he made his offer of £250, or not. It does seem on the low side to me, but as has been said many times, any car is worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it and you have to start somewhere!
What I can say for certain is that, were I in the market for one of these fine cars - and we've had 5 - and if it was an auto, I would be happy to offer £1000 for it. The only reason I would not go higher is due to the mileage - one in the same condition with half the mileage would undoubtably be worth considerably more. As others have said, good luck with the sale - it will surely make a fine 'keeper' for someone, its just finding that 'someone'! Regards, John. |

I would be disappointed if someone didn't value the car overall at £1,500 as pictured. The parts and accessories I am happy to sell separately if no-one wants the job lot, though it would be a shame to break up the collection in some ways.
Those of us who have been around classic cars a long time will know that often a higher mileage car that has been used daily and maintained constantly will offer fewer problems than an apparently more appealing low mileage one that has spent large tracts of time not being used or always tootled 2 miles to the shops and back when cold. |

Of course tongue was in cheek.
I just get so frustrated with ads that give no idea on price. If you want an auction then ebay works fine. No offence intended to OP.

Some forums I'm on demand a price in the ad, or the ad gets scrubbed. It really is the easiest way to do business. No offence intended either. It looks a nice car and I hope it finds a caring owner. |
