Passenger door jammed
the bosses (AKA the wife) Volvo S80 MK1
the passenger door has stopped unlocking with the remote, all the other doors are fine. when i tried to open the door from inside the lock button comes up but the door still wouldn't open, i presume that it's deadlocked?? is there a way to get the door open, that doesn't require an angle grinder and sledge hammer??

That's quite tricky. Try maybe tap on the door from outside near the latch. Also lower the window see what access you get from inside the window frame. Ultimately, I guess you will need to sacrifice the door panel, you may start by removing the handle cover, undo the two T25 screws with a torx screwdriver, undo gently the triang cover at the mirror, lift the top trim running by the window frame, but the rest of the panel is secured with plastic pins along the door seal so no access. The top of the panel also hooks down on the window frame

Quote:
Think it might do by disconnecting the battery, but the unit is the switch and just clips out without taking the door card off
