Mystery connected to nothing plug ('73 1800ES)
Gents
I noticed this odd plug on the back of the dash driver side all the way to the left, past ugly white wipers switch. Nothing connected to it from the front of the dash. It just connected to the back of the dash and nothing goes into it besides singular green wire with red sleeve on it reading T1216142 On my car that wire connected to nothing But even if it was anyone knows what this might be? It could be a wire intended for an optional Rear Wiper which was not fitted...check also that color code on Wiring Diagram... Referring to WD here: https://www.sw-em.com/Wiring_Diagram...iring_Diagrams ...I do see a Grn dotted wire indicated for the optional OD so this is also a hint... Is there an OD fitted but not working? If not, call that wire the FM antenna, and don't worry about it (you could also check if it is energized with Ign OFF or ON, and if it is by which fused circuit...again if everything is working as it should, I'd insulate it well, and call it a spare wire in the harness. Good Hunting! |

OD as in Over Drive? Yeh it working (for now anyhow lol) That's not it though. It's literally not connected to any at all. Just a bracket with the wire that's not connected to anything. More of an oddity and curiosity than real issue. Not like there is no shortage of those |

Are your internal cabin lights all working ? door switch ? I had some strange wires on mine and managed to trace through to get them working and didn't really match wiring diagram

Dome lights do not work as there seems to be no ground to them https://photos.app.goo.gl/Ntrs46P7oXfbomCZ8 It literally seems to be a connector installed in to bracket that has this green wire that leads nowhere connected to it. Just an odd, seemingly pointless item. |

Referring to previously linked WD, Dome (or Courtesy) Lights are supplied with power by Red wire from Fuse10, and get chassis connection from Door Contacts or local switch and fixture mounting. See also: https://www.sw-em.com/Courtesy_Light...Courtesy_Light Good Hunting! |

Only red/green wire I recall goes from the clock to the hazard warning flasher. Are both those working?
