Well they are on there with glue, been on for a week now and they have not dropped off. I will have to double check what the name of the glue is, its glass glue from halfords and it does seem to be doing the trick at the moment. I'll keep you posted on their progress!
Thanks for your help Cheers Tony |

I've tried 2 or 3 different glass glues and they have lasted between 12 hours and 3 months before falling off. Sorry, but I can't remember which ones, so that doesn't help very much!
Laptoprop has recommended Bison glue, which I will be trying. But for me, there's no point trying it now because the car is in a thousand pieces. If it works, it will be a result because the clip-on catches (which I have also tried) look ugly and I am reluctant to fix the windows shut. John |

Hi
Here in South Africa we have a product by Pratleys; its called Steel Quick Set. Its a two part glue. I have used it successfully - my window locks have been on for over 2 years now. On the other hand a friend of mine couldn't get it to stick on his original window so I gave him another window and it stuck perfectly. When I stuck mine I did neatly roughen up the glass but the same did not work for my friend's original window. On the second window he didn't even roughen up the glass and its stayed on for a few months now. I wonder if the glass has anything to do with it? Dylan |
