Default XC 90 offers

Hi
Have anyone managed to get any discount on an XC90?
I was told, Volvo had November offer in which they knocked £5000 of a stock car if you part exchanged a Volvo (owned a minimum for 6 months)

thought I would idly take a look using "carwow". 3 replies so far, each offering zero discount whatsoever!
Either they are flying out of the doors like the proverbial, or the lack of price movement will stifle the sales.....I assume they are shifting well, otherwise the discounts will come.

Maybe face to face there is something to be had, but it won't be anywhere remotely close to the 15-20% you can get on XC60's !

Volvo have officially said they will not be discounting the new XC90. Best you can hope for is that the dealer will give an over the odds offer on your old car.

There was only a £1k mark up between the trade in price and the forecourt price for my 63 plate XC90 R Design (has been around £5k on previous trade ins), so the deal is there to be done via trade in.

Yes I'd heard that's how the dealers would do it as they aren't allowed to discount the car.

If they wont discount the new car or give you significantly over the odds on the old one, walk away. Bllx to them.

Dealers are not allowed to discount the car. Don't know how this sits with EU legislation though.

so we have had 3 x previous xc90, last one from Harratts in Sheffield, juts had a flyer from them offering £4000 off a new xc90, no px required according to the blurb.

I have also noticed the PCH rates have come done quite a bit from when i looked in november.

Shame as now ordered a Discovery sport but wanted the XC90

cheers

Not much of a discount for the D5 and T6 models though (around £1,700).
A bit more for the T8 - although I think this already includes the £5000 government hybrid grant.
