V50 General : tailgate.

Help Please , first time on this site and not sure if this is the correct section . The tailgate on my 2009 V50 will not open, all other door locks operate normally, is there another way to get the door open ?

I remember someone having this problem already, either this or US forum but not 100% sure of the outcome. The lower panel is accessible from inside of the car, if you crawl to the boot and remove it it may allow you to release the latch and inspect everything better. May be microswitch issue, fuse , or latch itself.

google "v50 manually opening tailgate" and there are some useful sites popping out including YT tutorial on microswitch replacement, maybe some of that will help?

Thanks LizardOfBodom , I have seen the video of how to open from the outside if the microswitch is faulty, and that did not work ,did not say how to open if not. I will try the sites you suggest and also see if i can remove an inside panel .
