AARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!

That's exactly the noise i make when i try to change gear in a '90 740 GLE i've just picked up.

Stiff gear changes is not the word! Geoff Capes would find difficulty in gettin the old girl through the gears.

The clutch is nice and strong and doesn't slip.

Any ideas?

Ignore the references to cable adjustment, yours could be a fault in the hydraulic mechanism.
