¿Is that normal in my V40? Oil in the intake.
Hello!! A few months ago I bought a volvo v40 D4 with 190cv, the past week there was a notice in the car that the oil level was low, the mechanic told us that it is normal in our model. The prolem start when i remove the sump cover and i see multiple oil leaks.
One near the gearbox: One near the timing belt: And last one around the pipe that come down from the turbo and goes to the intercooler, the mechanic clean the oil a few days before. This is the cover: I open the clamp of the sleeve that came from the turbo and i found this: The mechanic says that is normal a little oil insede the intake, but this is a lot of oil. I think that the turbo is not working well, but the car seems to works fine and does not smoke. ¿What do you think friends? Is this normal, or the mechanic wants to avoid the cost of the repair, it is under warranty. Already change a gasket from various pipes to try to solve the leaks, lets see in a few days. One last thing is oil on the top of the valve cover, maybe came from the admision, maybe is other problem. Questions, quiestions... Thanks friends. |
