Default Replacing S60R seats....

I looking into replacing my factory seats and am wondering if anyone has any experience in doing this project.

I do know a few things:

1- If you disconnect the seat it will flash and SRS URGENT message because of the airbag in the seat.

2- The passenger seat has a weight system/switch to able/disable the passenger airbag.

3- The seat belt locks are mounted to the seats themselves and not the floor like others.

Has anyone ever attempted to fool the system and install a couple of light weight race seats without issues?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Regards,
Kevin

i believe if you disconnect the battery then the srs sensor should not be affected but what i would check is once removed if there is any resistance on the circuit if there is then when you reconnect the battery it will sence that its missing, if its an open circuit then you should be ok,

Thanks for the information.

I know there is more than one plug under the seats and I'm sure it's typical across all the s60/v70's. Would you happen to know which pins and plugs to check resistance on?

Regards,
Kevin
