I noticed this rubbing (well i think it was rubbing) on my S60 while reversing at the weekend, heard a noise when on full lock and then it was gone. This is on the dreaded P6000's

I specifically avoided Eagle F1s because everyone said they rubbed, and got Dunlop SP Maxxs instead,, which also rub on full lock when the suspension is compressed slightly *grrr*

I noticed that the steering stops under the front hubs have a flat worn on them, might have a go at adding washers or a spacer, and practice some 9 point turns..

Default Tyres rubbed on s60

My s60 failed the MOT last year and I then took the car to dealer in Newport that said that this was not a MOT failure and is normal on s60 . I got the dealer to phone the MOT tester who then passed the car. My car intrestingly always rubbed until this year I had the lower wishbone bushes replaced and they no longer rub ? strange - even with the same tyres

Mine rub occasionally with 17" Tethys running 225 45/17 Falken ZE512's. I had it serviced recently at Doves of Horsham and was told that the steering bump stops are a bit worn but not critical. I have had 2 sets or tyres on the front of the car and both have rubbed but it doesn't happen all the time and seeing as it only touches the arch liner it's not going to cause catastrophic damage.
