Default T6 - Wow!

There is a god!

Test drove a T6 today 2.8L twin turbo.

FLIPPING ECK! - My mid life crisis has been calmed! God that thing was fast.

But on idling I took the dip stick out and there was steam flowing out of the tube.

In the 850 this means a gaskit? Is this the same in the T6?

It is such a lovely car I want it. In fact I think I might boot the wife out and replace her with the T6!

Phone with swan neck boom on the head rest, nav - Oh - Where does the CDROM go for the Nav system? Could not seem to find it?

Its had all the recalls done on it. Its wonder blip! I am 18 again!

And to top it all it was registered on the day of my birthday! Its fate!

So - Does steam flowing out of the dipstick tube on idling after a run at full temp mean problems. If so how much dosh? and where does the CD go for the pop up nav?

Yours ever hopeful to be a Volvo owner again

Chris

If there's smoke coming out the dipstick then it just means the PCV(engine breather) needs cleaning out/replacing, if you're handy with a spanner then you can get the parts for about £80, this is of course basing it on what it usually costs for an 850/V70.

Well this beast is getting an MOT tomorrow and the dealer is checking the compression ratios and also the breather because of the above. If it passes everything then its mine!

Its at the limit of both my pocket and skills to keep it on the road, but my daughter likes it. S*d the wife!

Its stupidly fast, and if it passes etc then I will have fun in keeping it like the photo above.

It only has 83K on the clock. Should be good for 200K more!

Huge torque steer though. Just like the T5!

Will update as soon as I know!

If its auto how far have you pressed down on the excellerator. With my T6 I found there was two levels of kick down. try it and see it fly.
