I had always assumed it was used to reset the Service countdown mileage and months till the next service is due. Never used it personally.

ok thankyou, I was more wondering what the update was, for instance a map update, or a vehicle software update. I have tried to do a search but couldn't find out specifically.

why not try it and see ..It won't do anything without a second confirm message .. Its all connected services now with wi fi , you can book the service from in the car . Have you got wi fi connected and working?

yes, I tethered my phone but I might try my home Wi-Fi, that's if I can, I'm thinking if it takes a long time the home Wi-Fi would be better.
