I already have a Halfords jack just for emergencies always in the car.

I think the handle is also used go raise and lower the standard jack. You will need one of these on any case for your new space saver wheel.

Search on the jack and you should get the handle.

Just a word of caution, you need to check that your model has the same jacking points on the sill to use this jack. Perhaps another member with same model can advise?

Suggest also search 'breaking xc90' and you may be a le to source all components together

.on this pic the main part of the bar looks thick as it has a cover on it. The silvery bit with hook is the bit that fits in the jack and the winch.

For reference I paid about £60 for everything that I needed including the wheel.

Hi John, to be honest, I've never used the factory jack but if I needed to would consult the manual in glovebox.

I would imagine that the jacking points have not altered during the production run.

I have a 3 ton trolley,high lift jack that I use for maintenance.

A space saver and jack was a cost option on mine when supplied new but many chose to save a few pounds as they probably wouldn't know how to change a wheel at the side of the road anyway.

Gloop and a compressor are totally inadequate to my mind hence upgrading as soon as I bought the car.
