I have a 3 ton trolley, high lift jack that I use for maintenance.

A space saver and jack was a cost option on mine when supplied new but many chose to save a few pounds as they probably wouldn't know how to change a wheel at the side of the road anyway.

Gloop and a compressor are totally inadequate to my mind hence upgrading as soon as I bought the car.

Regards Darryl. 👍
Do you know if I can use a winch tool and jack from another car?

The jack has a fitment specifically designed to fit an attached reinforced point in the sill.

Why would you want to use alternatives not designed for purpose?

These are heavy cars and I other than the correct jack, i would not trust anything other than a 3t trolley jack which would be a lump to carry round.

Even using trolley jack I also use axle stands.

I really do advocate getting the correct tools.

Do you think that a spare wheel and winch from a 2004 v70 would fit into my 2007 XC90

No.
And the XC90 is much heavier than the V70, so the XC90 jack is stronger.

Use the correct jack, nothing else.
