2024 XC60 T8 Hybrid not charging at 7.2kw charging point
I have just got a new 2024 XC60 T8 delivered last week. I was charging at how socket using its 3pin cable and the car was charging fine. I got the new cable from the dealer (mode 3, type 2 to type 2) and then I was trying to use the new cable at workplace's charge points, but it didn't charge with all three charge points. I went back to the dealer, and they tried another new cable in their charge station, it didn't work either. However, the cable works on their XC40 which belong to one of their staff members. They have booked me in to check what is the problem. I post the question here is to see whether anybody have had similar issues with their new XC60? BTW, I also tried charging at a 22kw charging point, it was working fine.

There were at least 2 other people with the same problem who posted in a thread 'round here last year - so yes, you're not the only one!
Have a look at this thread: https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showt...ng#post2928444 Interestingly they're all mentioning 6.4kW as the "high rate" option and you're trying a 7.2kw charge-point? I don't know anything about it, but are you sure that 7.2kw point is compatible with the XC60? Last edited by Forg; Jan 16th, 2024 at 20:38. |
