Default Lowering an Amazon estate

Hello everyone,
Looking to lower an Amazon estate by 60mm at the rear and 100mm at the front. Can anyone recommend where I can get the shocks and springs from and where to go for the work to be carried out. Amazon cars can't do the springs, classicswede can but they are in North Wales and i'm in North London.
Many thanks
Joe

That is such an easy job that I reckon that it's well within the capability of any garage

A couple recommendations though - you should most definitely get the condition of all the rubber bushes checked out. Once you fit stiffer springs and shocks to a car with worn bushes it can be awful to drive. Pay particular attention to the front upper wishbone bushes. You ought to consider getting the wheel alignment checked too, especially front camber seeing as you are lowering the thing by so much

Both places you've mentioned are good for springs, but as you say Amazoncars don't offer very short springs

Joe, that's quite a bit to lower and you might run into trouble with running TT2s, especially on the front so would be worth checking before you order them, cut your old ones to see first is probably a good idea. Shocks and exhaust will also need considering, what shocks are best with the car being so low I'm not sure. It's an easy job to change the springs and shocks, especially the rears and any local garage could do that for you. The bushes on the other hand isn't so easy and can be a real PITA to do but if they haven't been done in a while then well worth doing. Changing the bushes is a lot more work than doing the springs and shocks though but again any local garage could do it for you.

Thanks for all the replies and advice guy's. All the bushes etc are being checked and replaced if neccessary so that should be alright. The guy at classicswede thought it would be okay with the Torque thrusts on but ill ask again to make sure. I could get the parts posted but the panhard rod needs shortening so thought it might be an idea to get it done at the specialist. Would make sense to have the parts delivered though and then fitted somewhere closer to home.

That was my mate's car. The ride was AWFUL! Cut springs from memory and he didn't change the bushes. It was more about looks than what the thing drove like, but it did look great
