The XC90 is a fine car, but like all cars it has its foibles, one that I find really annoying is the lack of storage around the driver e.g. where do you put your sun glasses, mobile phone, ice scraper, bag of sweets etc. without taking up space allocated for drinks, wiping cloth etc. Therefore, the question is has anyone got any neat ideas to resolve these storage issues?

PS - has anyone seen or used the sun glasses hook from Volvo and if so is it as abominal in real life?

I was just thinking the same thing Dave, having come from an SMax which has loads of places to store stuff....interesting to see if anyone has any good tips!

Intend to put my phone just in front of the gear level of I have to charge it. I tend to keep my sunglasses in there case in the door.

Thanks for the advice, I tend not to have the case for my sun glasses in the car so the pocket in the front seat squashes the frames. With all that expertise out there, there must be someone with some fresh ideas, or is the XC90 devoid of original storage solutions?

It is on the front edge of the front seats.

If it's any consolation, the V50 isn't much better for internal storage. I've just come from Peaugeot 407 sw with loads of it!!!!

I have noticed the same problem, coming from a Honda Odyssey which had heaps of little storage spots.
My XC90 has the RSE so the DVD player takes up much of the centre console space too. I use the front seat pockets to hide the Tic-Tacs from the kids!
