Default MOT fail

Last year I had adv. for 'slight corrosion on underside' and 'slight blow in exhaust', this year and 1000 miles later its a fail for 'corrorsion within prescribed area of suspension component' (hole about size of a 10 pence) and 'Exhaust system security and corrosion causing leak'

carpet stripped out, grinder attack and small patch welded in followed by lots of putty, two jubilee clips and a few hours later I have a pass, total cost £90

Default Nice one!

Wish I could weld, not looking forward to our MOT's as I have bent my Jacking point somehow during the year, good thing you can do such jobs as it saved you doing a retest or monies as I'm sure the tester was hoping for him to do the welding.

My tester knows he wont get any of the work from cars i take him. Your crushed jacking point will not fail if there is no holes or rust in that area.
