I've been running 215/45/17 Hankook Ventus Evo 12's on my R, £53 from Camskill and they seem to outride and out handle the 205/45/17 Toyo T1-R's I had on there before. Wear rate to date is excellent.

I'd recommend this brand to anyone and certainly recommend going up one tyre width, I get no rubbing and the extra width does help on ride front as well as turn in/handling, which is welcome on a car that is inherently pretty harsh.

Any one used these Tornado tyres?
.
I have parrelis on at the minute and the tyres are as new but walls have cracked so that says it all about expensive tyres to me.
Recently changed my front parrelis which were in the exact same condition (like new but cracks on the walls)
Would not mind finding some decent cheap tyres my self so email notification is on.
What makes a good tyre?
The rubber?
The way the treads cut?
If they cost 4x any other does?
and because a tyre is cheap it makes it rubbish?but what if the tread is cut exactly the same as a tyre costing 4x as much?

Rim protectors and grip in the rain ( a little I may add as I like sliding) and I am happy, regardless of costs.

People slating cheap tyres ( I hope you have tried them before slating as it tends to be reviews off people who have never used them, that put people off, which is wrong in my opinion)
i have some Tornado's on the wifes Seat, and there crap. theres hardly any tread partern. the treadwear is 180 or 120, compared to the Federals 240, the Toyo's 280, and the wifes front michelin energy's 400, im guessing there really soft.
