I programmed control No.1 but I waited too long before attempting to program No.2.Can anyone tell me how to "deprogram" No.! so that I can start again and set them both up at the same time or any other way to get N 2 working

As far as I am aware, just start again, No 1 will replace the "old" programming with the new one, even thou they are the same. Alternatively, take the batteries out of No 1 and start again that way.
Good luck

Just program them both again (btw removing/replacing the remote's batteries shouldn't cause the need for re-programming).
You have 10 seconds after programming the first fob to press the button on the second. The alarm is ready for the second fob when the LED starts blinking rapidly again.
