Default V40 T5 - 2013 (5 Cylinder) or 2017 Drive-E (4 Cylinder)

I'm planning to buy a used V40. In areas of reliability and cost of maintenance, which one would be a better buy? The older T5 with the 5 cylinder engine and 6-speed transmission(2013 model), or the newer Drive E with the 4 cylinder engine and 8-speed transmission (2017 model)?

From the spec sheet, the Drive E with 4 cylinder engine appears to be quicker and there are comments that it's also quieter. However, some people seem to prefer the macho growl of the older 5 cylinder engine although it may drive slightly slower and louder. Any thoughts? I'm just worried about the higher cost of maintenance and spare parts of the newer Drive E model.

For me, the upside of the older 5 cylinder is it's cheaper to buy than the newer 4 cylinder. However, most available options would not be in very good shape especially the interior leather seats due to age. The advantage of the newer Drive E 4 cylinder is the interior would look fresher and newer apart from the (claimed) improved drivability.

I would appreciate any thoughts or experiences from people who have owned or driven both models.
