Default Low battery charge message

Hello all, new member here and hoping for some advice. Got my65 plate XC60 a couple of months ago. If I'm listening to the radio with the ignition off, after a couple of minutes I get a message saying radio shutdown as the battery has low charge. The dealer tells me this is usual to stop people flattening the battery. Also the start/stop function doesn't work for the same reason. Am I just being fobbed off? Any replies gratefully received.

The battery is probably a bit sulphated if it has been sat for sale for a while without being used... the way to recover them is to use a variable voltage and current DC Power supply Volts set to 15.2 and current limited to say 4 amps and leave it on 48 hours...

The message from the Sensus system doesn't seem to be related to actual battery condition. The dealer is right. It's just a nag to remind you that the Sensus is consuming battery. You can press and ignore for ages.
