440 for sale
This has been passed to me - if you would like to contact the seller please PM or email me.
You should know I have a long association with this vehicle and there is a full vehicle history from the very sales brochure used to sell the car, through manufacture documents, to every little bit of service, or parts replaced throughout as a complete record. N145PLJ was born on the PM shift, track 2, at the NedCar Plant in Born, Netherlands 15th August 1995. The car was imported into the UK 10 days later and 5 days later, delivered to the ordering dealership of New Miles Volvo in Salisbury. I prepared and valeted the car for handover, and the car keys was given over Saturday morning 15th September 1995 to John Sharratt by Mark Austin (now Volvo Director for Snows Motor Group). John traded in N145PLJ in the first week of December 2003 for a new gold V40 1.8 SE with Sunroof and Winter Pack (again I prepared and valet the car, this time as a marketing degree student). Mark allowed me to underwrite the car and buy the car as I recognised it for £1,000 as a thank you with 48,000 miles on the clock and FVSH. I have since kept the car adding another 65,500 miles to the clock in an amazing ten years through Volvo Dealerships, Volvo Car UK, and my own marketing Company. Even though I drove many new Volvo Cars through a pool, I still kept N145PLJ and continued the record keeping, maintenance and loving care. Available = N145PLJ Volvo 440 2.0L SE in good solid condition. Full Volvo Dealer Service History by Page Motors Ferndown, then Kings Volvo Salisbury, then Johnson Volvo Oxford to 2012, then serviced by highly regarded Volvo Master Tech out on his own (now services all ex loyal Snows Volvo customers and looks after every Volvo over 5 years old in a 20 mile radius such is his reputation!). Full documented history from selling sales brochure, to itemise servicing parts and more. Very reliable, loves passing MOT's without major trauma (last failure 2008 for 2 boots!). Fresh Michelin Tyres, still does a good 40mpg on extra urban, but drinks a bit around city roads. EVERYTHING still works, all electrics from remote locking, through to sun roof, heated seats, etc,. 113,000 miles and still accelerates with a kick. Underside sealed and no rust (resent protection added), burgundy paint still good and polished with only an inch long gloss coat finish failure top nearside rear door panel. 2 keys and remote. No rust as yet but for small bubble forming rear off side wheel arch (third round arch) about pound coin size. Starter motor getting slower and slower so replaced in September, and for first time in illustrious carrier N145PLJ broke-down requiring a new (Volvo Part) alternator. Have to be honest, someone stole the pristine either side roof ribs (known to peel) earlier this year! But have secured ribs MY93 and MY94 with fixings. All in all, still reliable and with a heart that goes well. Recently offered £485 as a round around with the year MOT, but would love a good home to keep going or if only as a donor car. Convincing offers very welcome for a much loved car. Contact David
