Default Brake light bulb failure/warning

So far today every time i touch the brake pedal i have the brake / light bulb failure warning symbol coming up on the dash, but my brake lights are working fine?

According to the hand book it means that one of my brake lights are out, but there not?

Before posting on here i have checked the bulbs/holders/and terminals all appear to be fine.

Do you have a high level brake light and is it working?

Have you changed one of the stop/tail bulbs? Different makes of bulbs will draw different current to generate the watts.

Have you checked the earthing points for the lights as a bad earth will cause imbalance?

I think that the earthing points are the more likely cause of the imbalance.
