Clutch brake fluid turns dark

Had a look inside the reservoir yesterday and could see it has started to turn dark again. Drove the car a couple of times during the past week.

What is your current humidity?

I recall you stating using fluid from a new sealed container...so I would do some additional tests to better understand the blackening effect... Leave a small test amount in an open glass container...leave some in a glass container not open to atmosphere (and little atmosphere included in the container)...also test some samples with a piece of aluminum in contact with the sample...

It looks like Skandix, VP and CVR all have clutch slave cylinder repair kits. They are not listed so you have to type 'clutch slave cylinder' into the search function.

Looking at the weather forecast, it appear to hover around 80% relative humidity. Had some morning mist lately.
I'll see if I can find some appropriate containers and pour some samples.

However, on my other car, a 740, the brake fluid has never turned dark. Probably a couple of years ago I replaced it, and it is still clear.
The same applies to the (Amazon) brake master cylinder. Still has clear fluid.

Have contacted a local supplier to get new parts for the clutch hydraulic system. The slave cylinder isn't in stock, and a bit uncertain when it will be. Hopefully soon.
