Default XC60 Seat Belt Fraying & Replacement?

Hi

Bought a MY18 XC60 (Inscription Pro) in August, my first Volvo and going great super happy.

Unfortunately the drivers seat belt has some fraying on it which is getting worse and also just looks ugly.

The dealer melted off the worst of it, but obviously that's only a short term fix - its started fraying again.

The mechanism is fine and I only need to replace the strap - but guessing that's pretty much impossible and I would have to change the whole thing?

If that's the case does anyone have any advice on DIY and where the best place to buy that part would be? Or am I just going to have to push the dealer to do it and pay up £ £ £

Cheers

A dealer melting a seat belt webbing to make it look better seems pretty dodgy to me.

I have never used them but there are mail order companies which re-spool seat belts with new webbing and then certify the belt. I nearly used them on the motorhome when a mouse chewed into the webbing of the buckle, but in the end it was £80 for a replacement which was easier.
