Yes, as long as the 0281001xxx number is the same you should have no problems.

Just had a quick look on eBay but nothing there at a decent price. Lakes autos should have one or maybe minty on here.

Just got it....off eBay dint show on your search probably because of spacing...0 281 001 820. £40 which I guess is not good/ not bad....If I send u the 'new' ecu for the doings what is the cost? Tight budget etc post Christmas :-) incidentally....my last project....removed a bmw tds 6 cyl with ecu engine loom etc and transplanted it into an xk150 replica. And chipped it opening the ecu myself and switching the chips. Had no idea what I was doing other than slavish logic....worked fine. Scary that first turn of the key .....will it won't it......

If you want to open it up and solder yourself new chips in then go for it, the hardest part is removing the old ones without damaging them. I can supply them for £75 plus postage. You would need to send me the old chips so I can read them and write the tune using your original files.
Or send me the ecu and I'll get the work done and that would be £135 plus postage.

I have sent you details in PM. Turn around is usually 7 days depending on how busy my soldering chap is.
