If i have to send it away.

What effects does it have on the car and is it illegal to drive without it?

No electric windows, no indicators, no ac, no main beam, SRS faults and you'll need Vida to clear the faults.

I sent mine to Lukasz at volvodiagnostic about 5 years ago because he's fixed so many DIMs and can probably do it with his eyes closed.
About £90 total including postage both ways and a very quick turnaround.

+1 regarding Lukasz. Cloned a Haldex DEM for me a few yr back - still working. I have read many threads of people recommending his work.

Cheers

In terms of legality I would assume you need at least the speedo? But you might get away with a GPS speedo on your phone I suppose (in a bracket obviously not holding it in your hand kinda goes without saying really). If the car does run that is

Cheers, wife needs the car on the road.
Easier to get it done while I wait.
