Default ECM 1507 Fault Code

Hi, I have a 2006 V70 D5 185bhp auto with 91000 miles which keeps going into limp mode in the first five minutes from cold if you drive uphill and keeps showing ECM 1507. Have done a smoke test with no leaks cold and hot, turbo has been overhauled and has thrown up various codes but only once, the latest being ECM 2B00. I am thinking about next changing the inlet air temp sensor.
Your thoughts and help needed, many thanks.

Check the engine mounts. Check that the pipework is holding vacuum.

It could be the electronic turbo actuator or boost sensor on the intercooler outlet

Have pressurised smoke test various times, only trace of leak is where the actuating rod enters the head but it was a very small amount. Gearbox was removed a year ago and mounts all looked fine but did renew the top stabiliser
bush.
Thinking I might remove the EGR valve and inspect.

How do mean where you say it leaks from the actuator arm enters the head? Do you mean engine head?

Yes, where the rod enter's the cylinder head but its just a very small trace of smoke.

It doesnt connect to the cylinder head. The turbo actuator is held on with 3 bolts on bracket on the turbo with a electrical connection to the actuator. The turbo arm is held on by a circlip connected to the actuator. At least it is on mine, mine is 07. Inside the actuator is plastic cogs on one side and circuit board on the other. Not saying that is your issue but they do fail as mine did
Only an idea mate these engines are complex with many components over lapping.

Further to (taken/quoted from the internet); "VIDA says ECM-2B00 is bad Engine Coolant Temperature sensor (on the thermostat)".
If the issue only happens when the car is cold, why are you not investigating this avenue and perhaps potentially changing this sensor ?

If you had access to Vida it may be possible to view the real time readings from the sensor as the car warms up.

I have three D5's, and from my experience this would be the first thing I would try relating to the ECM1507.

A vacuum tester is also a potentially very useful addition to any toolbox.

The engine mounts on on euro 4 arent connected to the turbo. The turbo actuator is electronic not vac assisted
