Smile Alarm Issue S60

Good day,
I drive a 2011 S60 D3. Recently the car alarm will activate at night at around 10pm. It deactivates and when I check the car everything seems fine. This basically just happens once a day. Does anyone know what it may be thats causing this?

If there's a fault then getting the codes read should help pinpoint the issue.

At that age, it's possibly the alarm battery starting to fail. You can replace the battery with a bit of fiddling or some of us have had success replacing the alarm unit with a used one off a Mazda.

To stop the alarm sounding in the middle of the night (or indeed at all) pull the 5A fuse for the alarm from the fuse box under the glove compartment. The red led will still flash but you'll get an error message in the dash.
