Default V40 D2 DPF/DPF fluid

Good morning,

I recently bought a V40 D2 2015 R-Design & have a couple of questions you may be able to help me with.

I found an old post elsewhere that these have a sealed "DPF fluid" tank that needs topping up every 36k miles & the DPF replaced every 75k miles.

Firstly, is this true & if so what are likely costs & are these jobs DIY able?

If so can anyone give me a quick run down on the procedure.

You will need to narrow it down for me.

What was abolished about 12 years ago?

The eloys additive system used on early generation 1,6D All D2 are a much higher quality without the additive top up . 👍

Perfect, many thanks for that, obviously the post I saw was from the earlier car then, I did wonder why I hadn't heard of it before.
