Default Sat nav and stereo volume

Can anyone tell me if the sat nav is supposed to be linked to the stereo so that the volume of the radio drops whilst directions are being announced? They were linked in my previous car (Ford S-Max), so was suprised not to find it in the XC90.

thanks

Ben
