Exclamation C70 2007 engine start problem

On a long parked 2007 c70 with auto gearbox, the battery got drained and I replaced it with a new one. But since then I cannot start the engine, allthough windows, ventilation and lights are working, radio is not, maybe locked.

When I press the ignition key I can hear the fuel pump working but no sound from starter, not even a click from starter relay at the fuse box.
I checked all fuses and relays they are fine. Brake light switch is also working fine.

There is only one system message "Engine system service required" not very helpfull though.

Has anyone a clue? much appreciated.

Firstly is yours a 2.0D ? if so there is a problem with the roof control module draining the battery , your dealer should do a software update for this .
Secondly how do you get it going again? Try an engine ECU software reload , its worked for me a number of times in this situation . you will have to get towed to a dealer though ..

I must call an authorized technician for this fault as I understood.

Thank you for your replies.
