Default 740 saloon rear lights

Hi,

Where can I buy new rear lights for a 1989 saloon? One of mine is broken and would like to replace as a pair. These are the square ones not the facelift ones.

Thanks.

They look good condition and a buy it now price but.....including taxes is €170 / £145 - the delivery and tax ramp up the price.

In that case, i've just had a stroke of luck - i'd forgotten about this website but remembered them about 10 minutes ago :

https://www.mister-auto.co.uk/tail-l...1hp-1984-1992/

Two choices of manufacturer, i'd go for the Bolk ones as first of all, i've actually heard of them, second they're cheaper and third, the orange on the indicators actually looks orange.

About £49 each, not sure on the P&P to Ireland but at least they're new so would be guaranteed as well.

It's the only place i've found with new ones and i've tried all my "usual suspects" for oddball things like this.

Curses and naughty words! I thought i'd cracked it for you then!

Must confess, i've noticed that with that site before and i think that's why i forgot about it. Items would show in stock until someone went to order the parts and all of a sudden, they'd be out of stock, despite having shown as in stock minutes earlier when i'd found them.

Also remembered this one but they're a bit on the £OUCH side :

http://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts...taillight/644/

Some are showing in stock by the green highlighting on the shopping trolley/cart. Another alternative would be GCP (Genuine Classic Parts) that you could order through your Volvo dealer but no idea how much from them or if they still have them.

Not sure on your maths on the ones i found in the USA for you, as far as i understood it it's $95 buy it now for the pair? Shipping & Handing is another $41.23 so $136.23 which seems to be about £104.28, or about E122.47 (Euros)

Hi Dave,

Thank you for the help with the lights and I think I've found ones related to your link.

Comments on the colour to OEM standard?

Thanks.

Is the lamp pictured new or used? Looks a bit sunfaded to me although in very good condition for a used one.

The lights are new, think it's a crap picture that made me question the colour of the lenses.

The second picture shows the surface finish....just the orange colour I think is not the best. These are £50 each side.

Definitely not the best pictures!

As you say, the orange isn't the best, if they're what you need and within budget including delivery then go for it!
