Hi All...

As it seems to have gone a tad quiet in here the last few weeks, i thought i`d post a question for everyone....As the title suggests, what is everyone driving? It doesn`t have to be mod`d, just curious-i`d like to put cars to names! I`ll make a start...

1994 M Plate 440 2.0i SE
72k on the clock, with FSH
Full Electrics (No ABS though!)
5 Previous owners (Ouch!)
1996 Spec Velour Interior/Rear Light Clusters
17" Alloys/Lowered/S/Steel Exhaust
Decent Stereo/CD Player, subs amps etc
Dangermouse and Penfold on rear headrests!
Finished in Silver Dawn Metallic.

Anyone else??!! ;)

1995 480 Celebration (004/480)
Yes, I am lucky!(maybe)
58,000 miles
Bought last year from a place I will NEVER use again.
Service consisted of changeing the oil/filter & bleeding the brakes - NOTHING ELSE.
12 months MOT - another piece of worthless paper.
6 month "guarantee" - ANDREX
I have never seen rear brake pipes as corroded as these except in a scrap yard.
The valves were ALL out of spec.
Air Con was flooding the footwells, as the drain was blocked.
Tracking a mile out.
Redress from the Dealer? NOTHING! (memo to self: must find a new solicitor to replace the Idiot who cost me money & did NOTHING)

Despite the above(& more), I love the car & once I fix everything, I will not be changeing it in the next few years.

Greetings

This is my first visit to the forum.

Metallic Grey 480 Turbo Automatic with full leather, ABS & factory air - Genuine 52K miles, full service record & original Owners Manual. Excellent condition - purchased Oct 02 for £640 off Ebay with 48K on the clock

Came with a Kenwood radio /cd which I replaced with a Sony radio/ cassette with wired remote & 10CD changer. I managed to fit the changer into the rear armrest, after a bit of modification (to the armrest, not the changer!). Not a perfect fit, but not bad.

Had a leak into the drivers footwell, from around the relay holder, but a good talking-to & some silicone sealant cured the problem.

Just had to replace the alternator - got one from a great local scrappy for £20.

Car goes like stink - especially compared to my Transit.

Got a problem with the Info Centre display - very dim, o/s temp reads '-40', engine & oil temps both read 'Cold'. These read-outs never change. Can't believe that 3 sensors are faulty - any suggestions?

I was driving my '93 440 Turbo up untill last week. That had Bilstein suspension kit, EBC Turbo Groove discs, Pagid pads, Bailey piston DV, green cone filter. 165K miles :)

Now got a blue Calibra Turbo 4x4. 210bhp+, 6 gears, heated leather. Sorry, the volvo had to go. Anyone wanna buy it? :)

Hi , thought I'd join the bandwagon!

480 Turbo Auto. Standard everything bar JVC CD/Radio (Must get better speakers!). Owned for a year came with warranty 1Yr. Well worth the warranty as had new alternator & Mass air sensor replaced through it.
Came with 'free' leaky boot , & various elctrical faults all of which have been repaired by the dealer F.O.C. It is now a cracker with 109,000 miles, full history, Volvo to 70,000 then Volvo Specialist onwards.
Paul.C 480 & 855 T5
