Unhappy HELLLLP!!! seat problem!!

Hi all.

I've recently purchased a 1999 c70 and the passenger seat doesnt seem to tilt forward using the manual mechanism. Just put it in to have it looked at and the guy says it's extremely complex and will cost £120 (3hours work) just to look at it. Am I being ripped off? Anyone know a quick or easy way of checking/repairing it?

Any advice welcomed and appreciated!!

Hi.

Appreciate the input but the seatbelt is fine! It's the seat mechanism which has an issue. Any ideas???

sorry i was linking the wrong thing totally, perils of multi tasking!!
I did mean a seat rather than the seatbelt thingy, a full set of leater ones here:

Only suggest a replacement as i have done this in the past albeit on a honda and it was quicker easier and cheaper....for me at least

3 hours watching your seats !! it's true that they're beautiful, but i won't stay 3 hours in front of them, even for £120

Are your seat electrical ?

been many years since i worked on these, but i think the tilt cables used to snap through the backrest.

if so 1 hours labour should sort it.

This worked for me provided you have power seats.

Not real difficult just don't set your seat on fire!
