XC40 pre purchase questions

Hi all,

New to buying a Volvo and looking to purchase the XC40 R Design 2019 model.

I have a few pre purchase questions and tips when dealing with Volvo direct.

As standard I have heard they give MOT and Service with 12 months warranty. How much is the extended warranty and is this limited for the miles? I’m looking at around 50k at purchase but drive about 20k a year.

Is there any service packs they offer? I’ve seen the wheel and tyre protection is this worth getting ?

I’m taking out HP with Zopa so not doing the finance though Volvo but wondering how far you have pushed for discounts and add ons when buying direct. Any tips would be appreciated.

I bought my used Volvo Selekt V60 in February. Car prices were very firm then, but I got some money off and got them to pay for a second year's Selekt warranty (about £500). You should be ok with your mileage and vehicle age.

You should be able to find the latest service pack prices if you search on line. I didn't bother. The wheel and tyre ones are either a total waste of money, or you might get your money back - it's a bit like any insurance really.
