Wanted volvo 240=== 1984 or earlier ,1983 / 1982 / 1982/ 1981.

Preferably estates, saloon considered.

Tyre and front section exhaust pipe replaced, new MoT now.

Was 1985 the year the bonnet went from flat to raised in the centre (a la 260) ? Maybe that's the reason for the purchaser's preference. Personally I always preferred the raised bonnet, particularly with an all black grill. Actually, now i think about it that came in in 1983 didn't it. That's the car I passed my driving test in - a new red 245 Y-reg estate. It was like a fire engine. The examiner said I was rather brave! (I passed).
