Default XC-40 setting the door mirrors to stay out?

Hello everyone,

Apologies for cross posting, I was advised to move this post here.

When an XC40 is unlocked the door mirrors automatically come out. During this recent cold weather when the mirrors might be frozen in position, is it possible to set the mirrors so that they stay in the 'out' position after the car is locked?

I'm concerned the mirror motors may be damaged, trying to open out when the mirrors are frozen and unable to move.

Many thanks

From the manual:

Quote:
To change the setting for retractable rearview mirrors when locking:

Tap on Settings in the centre display's top view.

Press My CarMirrors and Convenience.

Select Fold Mirror When Locked to activate or deactivate the function.
HTH
