The 406 did about 30K miles on lpg before the valves went. That said, Go-LPG (a local fitter) reckon the valves in the 2001 T5 are hard enough to not need the Flashlube. That would make sense following previous post re. '03 model year+

Default LPG consumption and engine life

'95 3 litres 24V 960, singlepoint (old technology, less efficient) Tartarini Tek '97 LPG system, thirsty autobox:

On LPG... 19 mpg on motorway, 14 mpg around town. I'm 'featherfooted' on accelerator and brake, hate unnecessary braking, observe town speed limits... and on the motorway like to sit at a constant 'cruising' speed - albeit highish.

Previous owner had done "52,000 miles, almost all on LPG," he claimed, after getting it converted at 80,000. I've since added 55,000 miles, 99.99% on LPG.
Therefore (possibly) as much as 107,000 miles on LPG on an engine that has done 187,000 total.

Compressions checked fine about 6,000 miles ago; runs sweet as a nut.
*Touch wood*

Actually that isn't really truth - LPG used in cars generally have 103-105 octane and U95 have only 95 octane - the difference is that LPG burns with higher temperature, have higher temperature if ignition and is "dry" (it is liquid in tank but is gas when it comes to the engine) - thats why engin uses it slightly more and with lpg should be used special spark plugs with bigger spark and some oil made for LPG engines!

And that's not truth either - the lowest temperature i started my old mazda 323 with LPG on lpg was -21*C :P
the secret is that when it gets really, really cold u get a cup of hot water and pour it on (i don't know English name of the thing) the thing wher lpg goes from liquid to gas - when this get worm car will start on lpg for sure! But I never had to use this until it was below -10
