850 Trip Computer
Hi,
I am new to Volvo ownership and have just bought an 850 R. However the trip computer has one "fault". All functions work apart from the average speed one. Does anyone have any idea on how to get this to work? Thanks, Dave |

RE: 850 Trip Computer
Hi Dave,
welcome to the forums and to Volvos. You'll find a wealth of really useful info. here. When you say the average speed function doesn't work, do you mean that the display is just showing nothing or is showing a number that doesn't seem to change? Brian

RE: 850 Trip Computer
Brian,
It started off showing 2, now after about a 100 miles it is showing 13. I have reset the computer twice, but this function doesn't change. Dave |

Dave
Have you reset each function of the trip computer individually? If not, that would probably sort it out. |

RE: 850 Trip Computer
you can either reset each function individually by putting comp. into the required mode and pressing the reset button, or you can reset all functions at the same time by holding in the reset button for about 5 secs (it doesn't matter which mode you're in for this).

RE: 850 Trip Computer
OK. Reset the whole lot and it didn't appear to work. Then went through and reset everything individually. Did that a couple of times after a 6 mile run, and it now appears to be getting better. I think a couple of more resets and it will be like new.
Thanks for your time and help on this. Dave |
