Jack
I've sold 3 cars on via e-bay auction, my MR2, my Dads L200 (for spares - ended up being exported) and my Mk1 Octavia, which ended up going for more than I paid for it from a trader 18months and 18k mile prior, and much more than I would have put it up for in a classified. In all 3 cases the buyers were very nice people, turned up with cash and took them away

My brother on the other hand, it took 3 attempts to sell his Fabia, down to people bidding at the last second and then going no contact. Apparently thats what passes for fun these days?
Oh, and when he googled the eventual buyers name afterwards, it turns out he was on 'the register'...

I really need to shift the C70. the only interest I have had on (my wifes) FaceBook marketplace is someone asking if I wanted to swap it for a 207k mile diesel audi. I think I might attempt an e-bay auction but I'm dreading it. TBH I'm dreading the whole thing - test drivers that think you have to redline in every gear, groups of blokes turning up (or a registered...) etc. I can see why people do take the hit and use WBAC.

With less than an hour to go at £1766 and 21 bids it does not seem to be doing too badly. With now only a relatively short MOT, and for the sake of 50 quid or so, I think I might have put a new one on it. Can't hurt, and to my mind, always indicates confidence in a car, which should make for an easier sale. We shall no doubt see in a little while ...

Regards, John.
