Yes, they are seats from a 5-door 147.
Antz fitted 156 front seats to his previous 240, so I looked at those first. However the design and size of the 156 estate rear seats looked to be a difficult fit into the 240. The 147 looks to be a better match and I'm hoping the fronts will be quite easy. As long as the 147 rear seat will fit between the wheelarches on the 240, there will be a way of making the folding facility work using a combination of Volvo, Alfa and specially fabricated parts. Steve serviced the 240 for me yesterday, and changed the injector seals. It runs much better, and needed a large adjustment to the tick-over afterwards, indicating that the old rock-hard injector seals were leaking a lot of air.
I'm hoping that fuel economy will improve now - it would be nice to see 30mpg occasionally! John |

i really hope you do get 30mpg... i got 32 on a 66 mile run and was sitting at 80 most of the time! it is achievable!! plus your car is on less miles so theoretically less worn engine! best i ever got was 34mpg on a run but going steady. It can do it... i'm sure of it!!
also glad steve didn't break the injector plastic cup bits!!! they're a tenner each from memory as i asked volvo at the time i did mine. Nick

I looked at it, saw it was an H-reg, and was about to suggest lambda sensor...but then looked further down the list of pics and saw it's still K-Jet. Shudder. No idea! My B230A / AW71 car would do north of 30mpg at 70mph, so I agree this one should do better.
cheers James

AC Parts
Hi. If the AC gives you any bother I have an American 240 which appears to have a working system. I won't be putting it back on the road due to various rust and horse damage issues (Volvo 1 - Horse 0).

Looking marvelouse as usual John,Beutiful setting too and those wheels really bring it up to date lookwise.kind of matches the colour of the car. Those cows in the background reminded me of the southern today,Only we had bullocks stampeding about in the field next door.I still say it was because they objected to the MOOSE on Villains car Lol.
