Default Lumenition Optronic ignition kit.

I have a Lumenition Optronic electronic ignition kit which comes with a new FK222 fitting kit. (Suitable for anti-clockwise Bosch distributors with right hand pivot points, #0231 163 ... ) Other fitting kits are available, I think they're about £20.
It came off my Amazon when I thought it wasn't working, but as is usually the case with these things it turned out to be a power feed problem. I have sent the whole kit off to a Lumenition agent for testing and he confirmed both the Amp and IR trigger are working perfectly.
I have since replaced it with another type of kit so if anyone is interested, PM me.

New I think these cost about £180 with the fitting kit, would anyone be interested for £100 + p&p?

Hello. I'm looking to fit electronic ignition to my recently-purchased 1967 121 Amazon (1.8 single carb). Would this be the right one for the job?

I'm getting about 20mpg now the head's been off and the valves cleaned. My friendly mechanic reckons the CO2 reading is 3 times what it should be when it's revved up, so I'm hoping that electronic ignition and a carb overhaul might get me a few more mpg and a bit more go. All advice welcome!

Without knowing what distributor yours has, it's hard to say for sure if the fitting kit would be the right one. Volvo fitted several different ones to the Amazon over the years, but if it turns anti clockwise and the points pivot from the right hand side then I'd guess it's the right kit.

The ignition module and IR module will fit anyway, so if anything all you'd need would be a fitting kit.

Doubt it would help the CO emissions or the fuel consumption though, unless your points are very badly worn or out of adjustment, that sounds more like a carb/timing issue to me, but a good electronc ignition system is well worth having anyway.

Yeah, I don't see why not, it's not heavy.

As for 'dibs'...first one to PM me & arrange payment, address etc, gets it.

This site has some really silly rules..... I'm not about to put up Paypal details or an email address on a public forum if I can help it.
I wonder if I can PM you?
Goes off to try.....

Don't wait for me! I'm getting over 25mpg on a good day and have more urgent things to spend money on, so if someone else is keener then thanks for your gentlemanliness, but carry on.....

Well I sent a PM, but I guess you can't receive them either?
Send me an email on etmd "at" hotmail.co.uk and we'll sort something out.
