If it is a five cylinder it has a belt. The same engine as the S60 and V70.

2.4
Agreed 2.4 has belt. The only 'new' s40/v50 engine that has a chain is the 1.8

My dealer told me that only the 1.6 petrol engine had a chain by contrast to the 1.8 and 2.0 engines having cambelts! I am confused.
