TURBO BOOST PROB'S

According to the fault codes my turbo boost pressure is set too high.code=4-1-4.
Also long term fuel mix too weak/rich in part load stage.
Can anyone give guidence in correcting these faults???????

If this is a new acquisition, go back to the seller and as for their help in rectification.

If not, considering the double-barrelled nature of the problem, I would head towards a Volvo specialist or franchise dealer who can check out all the elements relating to your fault codes.

Sometimes, correcting a specific can lead to problems elsewhere, as I'm sure you are aware - the holistic approach would seem to be the best one here.

You need to find ou if these are new or old codes-reset the fault codes and see if they are still registering at a later date.
Normally you would also get warning lights and the car would not drive well with these codes.
If the fuel mixture is not correct you should get the Lamda light illuminating on the dash and an overboost would normally cause a check engine light and cause a sudden drop in power.
The chances are they are old codes that have not been cleared!

If they come back, you've most likely get an air leak on one of the control lines to the turbo servo.
