Probably a boring recurring question....
Have any of you incorporated boost controllers in your 850? Im just curious if its a risky hop-up, whether the manifold pressure gauge already in the car is enough indication to prevent overboost...
If this is a cool thing to do, where do I pick one up? I live in the USA.. |

www.volvospeed.com have a look at the forums on there, there are quite a few who have dawes device/boost controller. Also www.volvotuning.com and www.swedespeed.com but being in america I guess you might have met these sites already!

Something that comes up again and again on our site as well as in the US are the worries of people who have mucked up their engine tuning by uncoordinated add-ons.
Please make any boost controller part of a holistic approach to greater power, rather as Kai has done to his C70 on the swedespeed site or people in the UK have done through TME or Kalmar Union's advice. The 850 is a complex beast as far as control and monitoring is concerned and DIY bits often detract rather than enhance. |
