Default front o2 sensor location please

Hi I need to replace the o2 sensor front and as you will guess know little about cars but have been told its an easy job but could somebody explain where the front sensor is please

Look down the back of the engine where the exhaust manifold joins the exhaust pipe. The sensor looks like a spark plug screwed into the first part of the exhaust with a lead coming across to it's connector in the left hand side of the engine bay.

thanks thought it was that bit but wasn't 100% sure i looked yesterday and saw what looked like the spark plug was just a bit confused front and rear so that's sorted that one now just need to source the part as volvo are quoting £300+ which is ridiculous the car only cost 800 and i have spent 300 on it all ready

I had one last week for £107 delivered within 24 hours. A genuine Denso part not
an OEM or universal.

Just recently changed mine on a V70 N/A MY2000 and it cost me £106 for a genuine Denso probe, if you need details of the e-bay shop I got it from post back as they had around 100 different O2 probes listed for Volvo - Mine was the dearest........ - Mike
